IlliAI SMS Messaging — Opt-In & Consent

1. Overview

ILLIAI LLC operates IlliAI, a personal finance web app at illi-ai.com. IlliAI sends SMS text messages only to users who have explicitly opted in inside the app. Consent is never required to use IlliAI and is never bought, sold, or shared with third parties for marketing.

2. How Users Opt In

SMS is off by default. To turn it on, a signed-in user opens Settings → Notifications → SMS and:

  1. Reads and checks the consent box (shown below). It is unchecked by default.
  2. Enters their own mobile number and taps Send code — the button stays disabled until the consent box is checked.
  3. Enters the one-time code we text them to verify the number.

Verify your phone to turn on SMS alerts. You can opt out anytime by replying STOP or turning these off here.

3. Consent Language (verbatim)

"I agree to receive account text messages from IlliAi: financial reminders (bill due dates, event reminders), app notifications, and security/verification codes (2FA). Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help. See our Privacy Policy and Terms."

4. Message Types & Frequency

  • Security & verification codes (2FA)
  • Account reminders the user enabled: upcoming bill due dates and calendar events
  • App and account notifications

Messages are transactional and account-related only. Message frequency varies with the user's activity and reminders. Message and data rates may apply.

5. Opting Out & Help

Users can opt out at any time by:

  • Replying STOP to any message, or
  • Unchecking the SMS options in Settings → Notifications.

Replying HELP returns support information. STOP and HELP are honored automatically.

6. Sample Messages

  • "IlliAi: Your verification code is 481920. It expires in 10 minutes."
  • "IlliAi: Your electric bill of $120 is due tomorrow (Aug 26). Reply STOP to opt out."
  • "IlliAi: Reminder — 'Quarterly taxes' is due in 3 days. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help."
